My car Hyundai Xcent purchased in May 2019 at Lakshmi Hyundai, Rajahmundry was regularly serviced at the workshop except for 3-4 times missed due to heavy billing charges. The vehicle is being used for orphanage service to transport elderly people, orphans and blind persons. In May 2023 it was serviced after 1 lakh kms (maybe 10th periodic service). Just after 2 days the engine broke-down due to head-gasket failure. This is not logical. Upon asking the workshop after being towed till there, they said engine overhauling needed and denied warranty and insurance inspite of having them. They put a bill of Rs.1.71 Lacs on spare parts and just refurbished the cylinder head. Again in a gap of 4 months and 2500 kms, the engine broke down once again, this time due to turbo-failure. This time the estimate was around Rs. 4 Lacs, but on humanitarian grounds, the repair is covered by Hyundai India. But is very unfair from Lakshmi Hyundai, Rajahmundry in asking me to close the complaint after repeatedly failing twice on major breakdown issues and heavy billing despite having warranty. Troubling an orphanage service vehicle and charging heavily and forcing me to close the complaint without even delivering the vehicle is a major grievance call. I request Hyundai India to escalate this issue and take serious action on this dealership.
