I had paid a deposit amount of ₹4, 000 to a Paying Guest (PG) accommodation on 30/06/2025 in good faith with the intention to move in. However, due to unforeseen personal reasons, I decided not to join the PG and informed the owner promptly. I have not occupied the room or availed any services.
Despite repeated polite follow-ups requesting a refund of my deposit, the PG owner is refusing to return the amount without providing any valid justification. This is unjust and amounts to unfair retention of money without providing any service in return.
I am raising this grievance in order to request a resolution and refund of the ₹4, 000 deposit that was paid via [UPI/Google Pay/Bank Transfer]. All payment proofs and communication records are available and can be shared upon request.
