Star India (21st Century Fox) — Extortion from consumers

This is to highlight that Star Sports is trying to extort from the consumers, by forcing them to subscribe to HD channels or else they won't be able to view F1, EPL and other international sports. Myself being a fan of F1 have missed the nail biting finishers in the last season and am going to miss them again this year. It is a well known fact that India still doesn't have a huge F1 fan base and if the sports is not telecasted in SD channels then the sport base may stop expanding any further here in India, moreover there are many person including myself who could not afford so easily to purchase a HD TV, firsthand, let alone pay for HD Subscription every month. So we are already being deprived, although we the people are paying whatsoever for the Star (sports) channels which comes in a package. And moreover its the opinion of a person in which format (SD or HD) he/she wants to view the programmes not of the channel. They cannot force consumers and extort the hard earned money. This should be stopped by any means and telecast of all live sports must be resumed in SD immediately.
