Recent claim for Cataract surgery-21000/-( Cost per eye Rs.83000/-)
I have no complaint against this.
This morning, when I enquired if there was any provision for post operative medical bills, i was told by Ms Chetana that Yes, if bills are correct, upto 80% could be claimed.( Her Boss, Mr.Girish)
In spite of my telling her my inability to go out due to a slight complication in my right eye, she insisted that I visit personally with bills, Aadhar and PAN copy.
I did .She sent me out for photocopying though I expressed my problem of not getting exposed to the dust in that area.
She starts filling the claim from, asks for original bills and THEN informs me that she would let me know if and when it was approved.
I was confused. She was absolutely blank when I asked If she was sure that there was such a provision.I asked to speak to a senior and was told NO, with apologies for their mistake of wrong Information.
Complaint
Insurance deals with the life of a person and cannot be taken so lightly.
Why employ persons who have absolutely no knowledge of policies?
Was she playing with my health? Who will pay for this ?
No empathy for clients(I am 72 years old)
Who will pay for any(Eye) problems that I might face being asked to go personally for no reason?
Should I go to the Consumer Court or a Redressal forum?
I look forward to the action you will take.
