I bought a Narada Lithium Ion battery from Panello Power Solutions for R16 120.00 and it was delivered at 17:00 on 24 July 2021. Because we went away for a week the battery was installed on 2 August 2021. The technician told me that it was not a new battery and he couldn't get it to operate with my two batteries. A message was display that the battery is locked. I immediately contact Barbara Andrews their sales manager. She told me that due to the fact that I didn't lodge a complain within 7 days the company cannot replace or refund me. She also told me that I received a second life battery and it has a 10 year lifespan. According to Panello's technician David the problem with my battery is that it is factory set and the settings as well as monitoring is for commercial use.
After many e-mails and calls Barbara told me that they will be willing to replace the battery. I told her that I am willing to pay in the difference between my battery and a new one. She told me however that they will swap my battery with a new one without any extra costs but I have to take the battery to an address in Midrand. The battery was swapped from a car's boot. For the third time I had to get an electrician to install another second hand battery. The result was exactly the same as with the previous one. The technician followed all the prescribed procedures but couldn't get the battery to operate.
I asked them to send out a technician to either repair the battery or to remove it and to refund me.
They promised to send someone during the week of 6 September. Nothing happen so far and they ignore my calls and e-mails.
I want them to remove the battery and to refund me.
