Star plus has decided to axe a much loved show Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke. However this did not go well with the viewers. The fans of the show have been trending since past fifteen days with more than 150k and200k tweets and continuing to do so. A fan had even attempted suicide while another fell seriously ill. But the channel has let our voices fall on it's deaf ears. However after repeated calling the took a few calls and said that an increase in TRP would help but the TRP slipped to an all time low. This comes in a situation when millions of fans who previously used to view the show online resumed viewing it on TV. They even urgend others to do so. In fact, several reports and indexes have been released which show that the TRP chart topper has an exceptional low demand rate amongst the audiences of both India and abroad. While the TRP chart topper managed to gain a rating of 2.5 Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke had a rating of 1.0 on the chart. Ironically, the demand rate of the topper show is 213 while the latter has a demand rate of 35. Even the global demand rate went up several notches. The discrepancies scream out TRP manipulation.
