While following the match, I heard the Tamil commentator make a statement about Pat Cummins, the Australian captain and player. He said something along the lines of, "What if we break Pat Cummins' fingers, then he won't be able to bowl against us?" Although I am not entirely certain of the commentator's identity, I believe it may have been Mr. Sriram, based on his voice.
I find this comment highly inappropriate, offensive, and entirely unprofessional for several reasons:

• Poor Sportsmanship: Such comments go against the ethos of cricket, which is celebrated as a gentleman's game emphasizing fairness and respect.
• Insensitive and Irresponsible Commentary: Publicly broadcasting a suggestion to injure a player is harmful, especially in a sport that millions of fans, including children, watch and idolize. It sets a terrible example and promotes toxic behavior in sports.
As a loyal viewer, I expect Star Sports Tamil to maintain high standards of commentary that are insightful, respectful, and uphold the dignity of the game. Remarks like these not only undermine the professionalism of your channel but also hurt the sentiments of fans who hold cricket and its players in high regard.
I kindly request that Star Sports Tamil reviews this incident and takes appropriate action. It would also be helpful to address the issue publicly to reassure viewers that such behavior will not be tolerated in the future.
