It is very difficult to bank with SBM. Absolutely no focus on customer service and customer satisfaction.
I am a customer of SBM since almost 25 years and last year i.e. 2014 i have closed my account with a lot of dissatisfaction.
I have a PPF account at Bangalore Hanumanthanagar Branch. I wanted to extend it by 5 more years. Do you believe that just to give an extention letter, it made me to go to the branch. Eventually it took me less than 25 minutes to handover the letter. The staff who attended me said she doesnt know the process and only after the process is done, she will intimate me on my cell number which i never got.
I tried contacting bank on their official tel numbers. In ost of the time, it is not picked up.Twice when it got picked up, it was lifted and hanged back. Once some one answered that no staffs to attend.
Is it a way to treat a customer?
if Banks cant not have a facility for customers to contact over eletronic media why do we need to bank with such Banks..? the Banking system has gone so forward and most of the banks do have facilities where all transactions can be done via internet.
May I ask the concerned why we should still bank with our own SBM ?? I hope this mail reaches to some officer who is really concerned about the customer service approach and do a bit to satisfy the customer...
