I own a Stiebel Eltron DHC 8 XG instantaneous water heater purchased on February 10, 2021. The appliance was installed on March 20, 2021 by a company service technician.
The appliance stopped working on August 9, 2021, and I called the dealer- Star R enterprises to in initiate a service call. A technician (Ramesh) only came to see it eight days later on August 17, 2021. He asked for the bill, and informed me that the part will be replaced under warranty.
I have been informed today by Francis from the company that I have to pay INR 1300/- for the defective part, and is not covered by warranty.
It has been more than 16 days since I have not been able to use hot water, and am being offered an "AMC" now. The company covers this product under a five year full parts and labour warranty in international markets. Why this discrimination for India? Was this information helpful? |
