Scammers operating under the name *Success Point Abroad Ltd* / *Ambition World* are fraudulently using the identity of Jabco Engineering Company, Singapore to deceive job seekers who aspire to work abroad. They attract candidates by claiming that no upfront payment is required and that the service charge will only be collected once you’re placed in the company. This "no-risk" promise lures many hopeful candidates into their trap.
Once you’re involved, you’ll receive an interview call from a U.S. phone number instead of one from Singapore. The scammers justify this by claiming that the company’s headquarters is in the U.S., so all communication is managed from there. If you attempt to verify the company’s legitimacy, they will only provide a U.S. contact number. The interview itself consists of basic questions related to the role you applied for, and shortly afterward, you’ll receive a fake offer letter.
The next day, the agent will contact you, requesting money for visa processing fees, typically ranging from ₹15, 000 to ₹20, 000, assuring you that this will be the only payment required until your visa is secured. After paying, you’ll wait 30 to 40 days, only to receive a fake acknowledgment document for your visa. If you ask for a legitimate visa document that can be verified on a government website, they’ll insist that you must first book a flight, claiming it must be in business class as a company requirement. They won’t allow you to book the ticket yourself and will demand money to book it on your behalf, stating that the visa document will only be released by the company via post once the booking is confirmed. This is another tactic they use to scam people by charging for the flight.
Throughout the process, the scammers will change their mobile numbers two or three times, offering weak excuses for the changes. However, their WhatsApp number will remain active. Irony is that both Jabco Engineering company and Ambition world websites are operating from same IP address and Jabco Engineering company website is operating from India.
Do not trust positive google reviews on the Jabco Engineering and Ambition World websites—they manipulate the reviews. For example, after I made my payment and was going through the reviews on the Jabco Engineering website, I noticed some negative comments. The very next day, when I checked the website again, those negative comments had disappeared, indicating the extent of manipulation happening.
As someone who has fallen victim to this scam, here is my advice: If you believe that *Success Point Abroad Ltd* / *Ambition World* or any other agency contacting you is genuine and are confident in their ability to secure you a placement abroad, only pay any processing fees or other requested payments after you have received your visa document. It may be a small amount for a few people but collectively it will be a big amount. Make sure to verify the visa on a government website and consult with your friends or family before making any payment. It’s crucial to communicate with them via video call and keep records of all interactions in case they are needed later.
Do not fall for this scam
