I had heard a lot of good things about this resort, but unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite — especially during the reservation process.
I called the reservation desk using the number listed on Google and spoke to a staff member about booking a room for two adults and two kids (ages 8 and 3). He told me that the room had a sofa-cum-bed and I wouldn’t need to pay extra for the kids. I confirmed the price and even mentioned that I was getting the same rate on MakeMyTrip. He said I could book “from anywhere.”
Trusting his words, I booked through MakeMyTrip.
However, when I arrived at the hotel, everything changed. The person at the reception insisted that I must pay extra for one child. I explained that I had already discussed this with the reservation desk, but they refused to honor that conversation. I even spoke again to the same person I had spoken to earlier, and he said the offer was valid **only** if I had booked directly through them — something he never mentioned earlier.
They also refused to connect me with any senior staff to resolve the matter. In the end, I had no choice but to pay the extra amount.
What was most disappointing was the attitude of the reception staff — the way they smiled smugly as if they had “won.”
Overall, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously and trains their staff to handle guests more professionally and honestly. Was this information helpful? |
