I was attended by Mohammed Sheriff - service advisor. He quoted me around 12, 000 rupees as services charges for the faults that I had in the car including interior and exterior polishing (Rs.1500/-). Some of the problems that I had was with the driver door operation and one of the passenger mirror was not operating. This was fixed and took the delivery yesterday evening. Power windows problem started again on the same day, so I had to call the same advisor today. He told me that the problem may be because of the body wiring which is also causing AC problem and it will cost around Rs.30, 000/- to change the complete wiring.I was not confident with the answer that was provided, so I took it to the local mechanic and he fixed the power window issue within 5 mins. I had to pay only Rs.200/- as service charges.
Why did I get the false quote from the service without any proper diagnostics ?
Quality of the polishing was very poor, so I had to clean it to make it better.
I was expecting a decent service from well reputed organisation, but I was disappointed with the 3rd grade that I received.
Not sure whether this message will reach them, but I am confident that at least a person or two may read this

The Service is also not so great...Normal service.
I agree, everytime i go for service they market other services like Body-polishing, Under-chassis treatment etc., etc., rather than doing the current job perfectly what the customer is expecting.
Twice i fought with the Manager there to do a worthful service for the amount they charge. They don't even wipe the engine, air-cleaner inside the bonnet; they just blow it with some pressurised-air & give you that's it.
They loot the car owners like anything.
I enquired for a battery for my Chevy-spark, those guys quoted 7000/- +(Rs.750/- for coming & fixing it). whereas I got it done by an AMARON dealer for just 3500/-(all inclusive).
There is nothing much to it. Just replace that's it. They say they are using genuine parts. Boss! the Battery comes Sealed-one. what the hell they will use genuine spares inside it(battery)? ridiculous!!!.
Iam asking is he putting some "Gold Battery" OR what? he's charging more than double? Boss! their prices/charges are too Exorbitant.
The Last time I gave them my car for service, they charged some 6, 800/-.
Boss! Let me tell you, They changed nothing, except oil-filter & oil.
they dint even change the Spark-plugs. They dint even wipe the engine, Or wash inside the bonnet. they just washed outside & gave me.
Now tell me why the hell will this cost 6, 800/-? Hardly they have done a 1500/- to 2000/- job(max). There was no improvement in performance of my car.
After this, I stopped giving them my car for service, instead i found a local Mechanic(very Reliable & very Trustworthy). After doing some inquiry and some R & D on him, I felt satisfied & met other car-owners who were also very satisfied & started giving my car for service.
everytime my car comes out of the Local Mechanic's garage, it looks very clean & performs very smoothly too & also the cost incurred is only half that of Sundaram motors OR even less than that.
Most of the time he shows me the parts & says no need of replacement & it can perform some 6 to 8-months.
every time Sundaram motors call, I bluntly/directly tell them, that their Service is not up to the mark, Hence Iam not going to give them for service.
They take feedback after every service. I don't know why the hell they take it. it's just an eye-wash. They do nothing after that. just a formality. they fool customers, nothing else.
Now-a-days they stopped calling me also.
you cannot find big cheaters like them in the world. They just want money & know how to swindle it from car owners.
