Surya Hospital Mumbai — Overcharging patients and wrongful tariff cards

I had a d&c procedure at the hospital and i had a medical insurance under which i was eligible for a single ac room or 5000 rs whichever is lower. I submitted my policy details to the hospital in advance and i was told by the hospital staff that i will not have to pay anything if i take the 5000 rs room ad that is the lowest single room that they have. Accordingly i took that room but at the time of discharge we were told that we need to pay over 25000 as insurance company is paying only 3500 room charges and all other expenses have also been proportionately cut. When we checked with insurance company we found that the tariff card that surya hospital had given to the insurance company has a single ac room for 3500 as per regulatory requirements and thats why the insurance company will pay as per that. The 3500 room doesnt even exist at the hospital and they r giving out wrong tariff card to the insurance companies to comply with regulatory requirements. In addition due to all this confusion there was delay in receiving approval from the insurance company and i was charged for hospital room for 2nd day as well for no fault of mine. Also they charged us for blood tests that were not even done on me.
They r clearly following illegal medical practices and are just focussing on making money by any means possible
