A Few days back I gave my vehicle for accidental repairs. I had zero depreciation policy form National Insurance taken from the same dealer. Once the vehicle was there I received no communication in any form with regard to estimation, approval and the work process. Few days later when I personally went to enquire about the status I was informed that the speedometer is also broken and the same has been disapproved by the insurer. I was shocked to know that the meter has got broken since when I dropped the vehicle it was perfectly fine (video and snaps available). But that was not the end of the troubles. The Dealership refused t accept it and kept on saying that I will have to bear the cost and were very harsh and rude with us. We however refused to pay for the new meter to which they said that they will fit the broken meter itself much to our dismay and chagrin. All this while they did not share any details of repairs with me. They neither shared the estimate nor the approval. Finally when we went to receive our vehicle they refused to hand over it to us saying that you either pay the full amount as the payment will done directly to my account by Insurance company since they said they do not have cashless tie-up with the company. So I had to wait for another fortnight for the payment to be disbursed to me and the vehicle was parked with them all this while. However on 2nd Nov. I received a message that the amount has been received by the company and I can take delivery of the bike. I was left flabbergasted as to how they received the amount instead of me. Moreover now they are asking me to pay difference amount of Rs. 2866/- which they say is towards deduction of salvage. As per the calculation the total deduction is calculated comes to only Rs.800/- approx. I am also from the Automobile industry (Four Wheel) and well aware of the Insurance claim processes. I have refused to take the delivery of the vehicle and am writing you to get the issue resolved. Firstly the dealership should be advised to replace the meter and secondly the payment issue too be resolved.
