Tamil Nadu Nursing And Midwives Council — Foreign verification

Dear Sir,

I would like to invite your kind attention to the problem of corruption at Tamilnadu nursing and midwives council Mylapore Chennai.

My Name is Bindu Benny Mathew registered under the name Bindu Joseph (RN Number 43229)
I work as a registered nurse in USA. I have been having issues with the council for not sending the requested service to the boards in US.

In 2017 when I went in person to the TNMC and processed my application for foreign verification it reached CGFNS in time.

Prior to 2017 and since 2018 I have applied for foreign verification many times.and not a single time the concerned boards received.

I had applied foreign verification to be sent to Texas board of nursing in Aug 2020, application was completed online and required fees paid. All the documents was sent online, by fedex and in person. Everytime I call the council they will say it has been sent or most of the time nobody answers.Also the person who answers phone calls are very rude.

Also I had applied for foreign verification to be sent to California board of nursing in 2018 and 2021. Until today there has been no updates

Everytime if I go in person and they do realise it is the candidate the services requested will be implemented. Otherwise when it is requested online or documents sent by friends or relatives even though they give receipts of requested service, none of the requested service has been received by the respective boards so far.Unfortunately because of covid I am unable to travel in person and the council is closed too for in person services.

I have worked in other countries too and when I request a verification from respective countries nursing boards its been sent promptly and when I check online the respective boards have received it too.

This is an ongoing issue for a lot of nurses who have graduated from Tamil Nadu and registered with Tamil Nadu nursing and midwives council.

A lot of time, money and effort is spent when a service is requested,

I therefore request you to look into the matter minutely so that this kind of problems faced by overseas nurses can be solved.It would also regulate fair practices.I will be very thankful and appreciative on behalf of all the nurses who are experiencing similar predicament with the Tamil nadu Nursing and midwives council.
