Tanish Packers And Movers — Overcharging and poor service

I had a poor service experience on transferring my bike from chennai to salem with tanish packers and movers, chennai. Initially i found the contact number via online and called him. Owner ravinder picked my call and spoke very nicely. He told that he will charge around 4500 rupees. I felt it was too much but no other options due to corona i need my bike back to my native.

Next day morning i called him to pick my bike in my chennai address. He sent two of his men who found my home and picked the bike around afternoon. After 2 hours the guy who picked up the bike called me and told that he filled the petrol for 100 rs as bike did not go half way. I was shocked to hear him because i filled the petrol for 150 rupees on the previous day. I argued him and finally told him that i will pay as part of bike transfer fees.

Owner called & informed that he received the bike and asked me to pay the invoice that he sent to me via whatsapp. When i open the invoice, honestly i was shocked to see it. He mentioned the charges as 6200 rupees. Inclusive of gst and transit insurance. I called him and argues if you would have told the final cost earlier then i might not agree with this amount. He said gst and transit insurance is must. I argued him he again said just pay 5500 rupess. I was saying 4500 rupees itself is too much and i am not ready to pay more than that. He finally asked me to give 5000 or else take my bike paying 1000 rupees as a charge for his men who came to my place to pick up bike.

I argued little and then i said i will pay the amount. I paid him via google pay. He said today we will send you the bike with safety packaging of body and doom and tomorrow you get it in your doorstep. Next day morning i called him. He said you will receive i asked him to give the details of the deliver person. From there he did not pick up my call or he attended and spoke in hindi (Yes, he is from north india and do not know tamil) that he was busy. I was very much disappointed but waited till evening. Noone called me

By 7 pm one person from another packers and movers company called me and told that i will receive the bike on the midnight or early morning. He called me around 3.30 am next day and he came to spot. When i see the bike i was shocked again. As owner promised he did not seal the body and doom with safety covers. Somehow i got the bike with less damages. The driver who delivered my bike was saying that actual cost would be around 3000 rs. So i paid 2000 extra without even packing my bike with safety materials.

So if you want to do business with this guy, first speak about the final cost (Inclusive of gst, tax or whatever charges etc), packaging etc in advance. He will not attend your call once you pay the money. Watch out carefully before you proceed with this guy
