[Resolved] Tata Institute Of Social Sciences — Refund not processed

I am Kizhakoot Gopika Babu. I was selected for TISS’s MA Social and Social Anthropology program in Guwahati. I had paid my fees and secured my admission. Due to better prospects in other universities, I withdrew my admission and asked for a refund. I had paid Rs 34200/-. I got the confirmation of the cancellation of the seat on 19th July and there after mailed TISS Care the ‘ application for the cancellation of provisional admission’ on 27th July. It has been more that one and a half months since and I still haven’t availed the refund. The only reply I got via email correspondence was that the process is automated and I shall be getting my refund soon. Was this information helpful? No (0) Yes (1)
Sep 16, 2022 Complaint marked as Resolved I had mailed and called the university helpline number several times. On 15th I had sent a mail and didn’t receive any reply. On 16th I called the helpline number and the grievance team informed me that the first round of refund was been initiated and that I be assured of the refund. By evening the same day I received the refund amount. Tata Institute of Social Sciences customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
