I had booked tickets via bookmyshow for show called Sagar waali Qawwali at NSCI dome on 14 Jun 25 from 7.00pm, booking id FARE001K5P1XTN. The tickets advertised Sagar waali qawwali and did not mention anywhere that the qawwali show will start at 10.00pm.
The music in the auditorium was being played by DJs and was no where even close to any qawwali for good 2 hours. When I asked when will the qawwali start, the usheres had no idea, the organizers Mr Vinay and Mr Neeraj Chauhan said that this is a routine thing and I have to wait patiently and the show has started with DJs playing music. When I pointed it out why was this not clearly mentioned in the information displayed on bookmyshow site or while booking the tickets. If I had known this I would not have booked the tickets. IN simple terms the site scammed or tricked me into booking three tickets 1000 rs each for something which I wasn't very interested in being a part of. When I asked them about where to lodge my complaint, The organizers asked me to complain on bookmyshow. I raise this issue with bookmyshow but they also didn't resolve either my query (why was false/ incomplete information advertising done) or my grievance (how to get my refund back). Mr Vinay who was on ticket window, representative from organisers or bookmyshow was extremely unhelpful, not ready to help resolve query, or forward my grievance to any superior who could get my problem resolved and after 20 minutes or persistent talking to Mr Vinay, a Mr Neeraj Chauhan arrived on the scene, who was equally unhelpful, rude and and not ready to lodge my grievance. I am not even sure whether both pf them told me their actual names. Extremely unprofessional behaviour on part of the organisers as well as bookmyshow because none of the professionals there were ready to let me know whom to contact for getting my grievance acknowledged. I have been cheated and tricked into booking tickets by giving incomplete information on the booking site and mentally harassed when the organizers were neither ready to listen to what I have to say. Any service provider needs to have a formal way of helping consumers to lodge their grievances and provide resolution, neither of which was done on part of organizers or the representatives of the booking site.
