I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious issue with *The Travel Guy*, operated by **Mr. Suresh** in Calicut. Our family entrusted him with **₹5, 45, 000** to arrange three international flight tickets for my sister's wedding, who was also travelling with us. After taking the full amount, he provided us with a **fake “blocked†ticket** and did not make any genuine booking.
For several months, he avoided proper communication and kept giving different excuses whenever we asked for the confirmed tickets. As our travel date for a family wedding approached, we were still left without valid tickets, which caused us significant stress and uncertainty. Due to the lack of response and continuous delays, we were forced to approach the **Nadakkavu Police Station** for assistance.
Even after police involvement, he demanded an additional **₹2, 00, 000** to issue a one‑way ticket, promising to refund it within a week. However, he kept postponing the refund using post‑dated cheques and repeatedly changed the deposit dates. Eventually, only part of the money was returned ( 184000). Because no real tickets were ever booked, we had to spend **₹50, 000 extra** from our own pocket due to increased fares.
This entire experience caused financial loss, emotional stress, and major inconvenience during the wedding . We have **audio and video evidence** of all conversations, payments, and false assurances.
