Subject: Complaint Regarding Non-Refund of Travel Package and Mental Harassment by Thrillophilia

Dear Sir/Madam,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to file a formal complaint against Thrillophilia, a travel agency, for their unethical business practices, non-refund of the amount paid for a travel package, and the mental harassment caused by their constant attempts to extract additional funds from me under unclear and fraudulent circumstances.

Here is a detailed description of the situation:

Booking and Initial Payment (2023):
In the year 2023, I booked a travel package to Sikkim through Thrillophilia and paid a total amount of ₹66, 000. However, due to a flash flood in Sikkim during that period, the trip was cancelled by Thrillophilia. When I requested a refund, they refused and insisted that I postpone the trip to another date, even though it was not possible for me to travel during that year. I informed them of the same, but they did not agree, forcing me to reschedule the trip for the next year (2024).

Rescheduling and Additional Payment (2024):
In 2024, my husband suffered a severe leg injury and was unable to walk. The travel package was scheduled for May 2024. Due to my husband's condition, we were compelled to postpone the trip again with a validity of one year. Thrillophilia informed us that the validity would last for one year, and there would be no additional charges for rescheduling. Based on this, I paid an additional ₹15, 000 to extend the trip, bringing the total amount paid to ₹81, 000.

Further Miscommunication and Mental Harassment (2025):
In February 2025, I received a call from Thrillophilia to confirm the travel dates for May 2025. However, when I confirmed the dates, they failed to provide any formal confirmation. I attempted to reach out to them several times, but there was no response. Finally, I raised a ticket on their portal. To my surprise, they informed me that I would need to pay an additional ₹12, 500 to proceed with the travel.

This is highly unreasonable and unprofessional, as I have already paid ₹81, 000 for the package, which included both the initial payment and the rescheduling amount. No clear explanation has been provided for the additional charges, and their behavior is causing me mental distress.

Request for Refund: Given the circumstances outlined above, I am requesting the full refund of ₹81, 000 paid to Thrillophilia, as they have not provided the services promised, have been deceptive in their communications, and are continuously attempting to charge me additional amounts under unclear conditions.

I kindly ask the Consumer Forum to investigate this matter and take appropriate action against Thrillophilia for their unfair trade practices and unethical behavior. I have all the communicated over email, which I submit to support my complaint.
