Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to bring to your attention an issue that occurred while making the payment for our house water supply service tax for the period 2026–2027 (I & II).

The payment was intended for the following connection:

Connection Number: 148/015/900044
Owner Name: Cyril
Connection Type: Domestic
Municipality: Colachel Municipality

Before making the payment, the correct connection details were displayed on the portal. However, after the payment was successfully completed, the payment confirmation showed that the amount had been credited to a different connection number, 149/018/900044, although the owner name was still displayed as Cyril.

I subsequently checked the payment history of our actual connection (148/015/900044), and it still shows the amount as due. On checking the payment history of the wrongly reflected connection (149/018/900044), I found that the amount I paid had been credited to that connection.

The payment confirmation details are also available in the attached screenshot. The transaction amount was ₹1, 076.00, and the transaction was completed on[protected] at 12:02:23.

This appears to be a serious technical/system error in the payment portal, as the correct connection details were displayed before payment, but the payment was ultimately credited to another connection number.

I therefore kindly request you to:

Refund/reverse the wrongly credited payment, or otherwise transfer/correct the payment appropriately; and
Credit the paid amount of ₹1, 076.00 to the correct connection number 148/015/900044 (Owner: Cyril); and
Update the payment status of the correct connection so that the water tax for the relevant period is shown as paid.

I request your urgent assistance in resolving this matter, as the correct connection continues to show the payment as due despite the successful transaction.
