Toonz Retail Kids — toonz retail looted us | fraud reported

Toonz retail, the franchise and the self-claimed popular chain of children wear and toy stores took our commercial space on lease and stopped paying rentals all of the sudden. It has been 5 months already that we have not received even a single penny from them and on top of it they put their gundas and goons on us, threating not to pay anything further, misbehaving with us and what not.

Initially, the company kept showing us the promise of long-term relationship with growing together, etc but miserably failed in reality.

Our commercial space is at one of the most commercially viable locations of gwalior (Mp) and they took it on rent at almost 20-30% negotiated rate citing the promise of being a good tenant.

Toonz retail, the kids store, works on franchise model and they sell franchises to innocent people showing them big dreams. They promise minimum guarantee at the beginning and later stop remittance. I have further learnt that they have not even paid commission to the franchise onwer who is running the shop in our commercial space.

Toonz retail, which was once based out of mumbai has sold its business to the quality group being ran and managed by mr tharun rao based in hyderabad.. So whenever i follow up for my rent, the team either makes fake promises, or asks me to check with previous owners of the company or with the person they gave the franchise to, or even many times they refuse to recognise me on phone calls which is utterly insulting and surprising.. One person - mr rakesh, supposedly the regional manager of toonz reatil who talks to me at least twice a day refuses to recognise me the very next day.. He is the real goon toonz retail has hired to threat landlords.

Toonz retail has not paid franchise commission
The person who has taken toonz franchise in gwalior is very dear to our family. He was one of the biggest reasons i trusted the brand toonz and gave my property (Which values in crores) to the brand on lease.in return, even he is feeling cheated as he has not received commission for many months from toonz retail. Whenever he follows up, he gets insulted too.

Court case against toonz retail - the kids store franchise

It was my life's biggest mistake to give my commercial space on rent to toonz retail which is into the business of toys and kids wear franchise in india. As they have not paid renatal for months and misbehaved with me, my mind is made to file a suit and court case against toonz retail.
I will seek justice from india's law system with a hope of getting back the outstanding rental and compensation for the trauma i had to gone through.

It's my humble advice to stay away from toonz retail franchise.. Engage with them only at your risk. Thanks!
