A Toppr executive named Abhishek Paswan, collected our contact details from my son’s school, after that he repeatedly called and insisted on a visit to my house. Even if we do not want to hear about Toppr, he said it will help my son’s education and save our time. On 24th Oct 21, he visited us for discussion & trapped my son in marketing tactics of discount and didn't give us the time of actually thinking should we get this or not. Without our further consent, he called his boss named Anumoy from there. Both of them then start pursuing to buy the plan (which was for Rs 50, 000.00 according to them before discount) of 12th class for a duration of 08 months starting from Nov 21 to June 22. They also offered a seven days trial & free access to classes & assured us if any issue will be then they will refund, they hide all other terms and conditions and refund policy of toppr.com. So I bought the 12th class course in EMI instalments thru my debit card transaction & the visiting representative almost forcibly downloaded the link for the class on my son’s mobile.
Upon only one day using/joining in their course classes during trial period, my son understand that this course is not of his expectations did not fulfil the requirements & also not in line as the sales representative committed during the visit. Immediately we called them for cancellation of the purchase & removed the link in the mobile. After that, even though our repeated calls, SMS, WhatsApp messages, they did not answer my calls neither they are calling back.
After the above, we write a mail to their support team asking for the same & they communicated thru mail As discussed, we are sending for the approval for loan cancellation. However, the Tat for cancellation is 15-21 days. The TAT period has been prolonged & the 1st EMI was debited from my bank account & but they did not send any confirmation.
The total dealing was a cheated one & we did not expect such mean mined & unethical behaviour from an educational institute, at the time when all we humans are fighting in such a pandemic situation.
