On 1st June 2025, we booked a return flight from melbourne to Delhi and return on PNR No - 7ANQ59 for a sum of Rs. 1, 24, 000 approximately. Immediately within a couple of hours I received a call from sastasafar stating that the ticket cost has increased and I have to pay some additional sum in order to confirm the ticket. I refused and asked for a full refund. On this the customer service executive immediately called me back and stated that they will issue the ticket.
Subsequently due to personal reasons, I had to reschedule the return flight. Sastasafar charged me approximately 17000/- as a change fee. Instead of changing my flights which were already confirmed they went ahead and cancelled my flight tickets without consulting with me and re-issued a new PNR - DMDQZ5 with the revised travel dates and stating that a sum of Rs. 127, 082/- was paid for the ticket.
The air india crash occurred and Air India cancelled one leg of the flight within the next two days and the second leg of the flight within the next two weeks. We have been in touch with Air india and have on email that we’re entitled to a full refund of the flight ticket cost. Sastasafar holds that we are only entitled to Rs. 1, 01, 330/-. The convenience fee in the ticket was only Rs. 3000/-. And as per our feedback from air indi and the DGCA rules we are entitled to a full refund of Rs. 1, 24, 082 net of convenience fee. We have been writing to sastasafar for the balance refund of Rs. 22750/- but there’s no response from their side. Request your assistance to obtain the balance refund Was this information helpful? |
