Hi All,
I got an call from Virakam Singh saying he is from the Citi Bank Chennai and he told my card details and full name and address.
And he told you are an valued customer and said as part of KYC update for security reasons we need to update your credit card and requested me to voice out the CVV and i also trusted its an call from Citi bank and just did it. And stated that you will receive an SMS regarding the OTP and he requested me to voice out eh OTP also and i just did same whatever he said.
And second SMS that I received is an shocking one where i could see that my credit card got charged with Rs.7840.
In the SMS i could see that Rs.7840.00 was spent on your Credit Card XXX XXX XXXX XXXX on 28-Jan-2017 at trendon_EpayKerala.
Guys be carefull now a days after digital Currency move this all is happening .
Now i just came to know that is an fraudulent call and transaction that incurred on my Credit card.
After this event i had call up immediately citi bank and told all things that happened over the call and told them to block the transaction and Credit card also.
But then i am totally surprised when i told the citi bank phone officer to block the transaction she just said that we can only block the card but not transaction and she said the one my team will thoroughly investigate and will raise an dispute if found fraudulent.
And she also said the if it is claimable only we can reverse it back to your account.
Believe me the fraudulent call that i got was just like an real call from citi bank.
