Deeply unsatisfactory and unprofessional services provided by Tripknock company (Representative MR. Rohit, Mobile - +91 [protected]) during my recent trip (Varanasi-Prayagraj-Chitrakoot-Ayodhya) in August 2024. The experience, which involved seven family members, was marred by a series of incidents that were not only inconvenient but also unacceptable for a company claiming to be a professional travel agency.
Issues Encountered:
1. Hotel De Villa, Varanasi:
- On the first day night, the dinner provided was insufficient, leaving some family members very less food. When this was raised with Mr. Rohit, he suggested canceling the trip, knowing full well that this was not a viable option after we had arrived with the entire family.
- The following day, the room keys were inexplicably deactivated, causing us to wait outside for 15 minutes.
2. Transport Issues:
- The driver assigned to us (Rakesh - [protected]) frequently stopped at locations where he appeared to receive commissions, instead of taking us directly to our planned destinations.
- The driver also failed to pick us up as agreed for the Mangla Aarti in Varanasi claiming he got headache that morning.
3. Hotel Kaveri, Prayagraj:
- The Innova's AC stopped working on the third day, making our journey to Triveni Sangam extremely uncomfortable. The driver again misled us by stopping 2 km before the actual destination, likely to get his commission from boating vendors.
- The Hotel Kaveri was in deplorable condition, with a pervasive smell of cigarettes and alcohol in the passages—entirely unsuitable for a family stay and far from the 3-star standard claimed by Tripknock company.
4. Hotel Parth, Chitrakoot:
- Despite a check-in time of 12 pm, we were not allotted a room until after 1 pm.
- You can see 3 Star hotel standards from Tripknock -

- The new driver assigned to us (Babulal - [protected]) was unprofessional and engaged in rash driving, endangering our safety.
5. Prioritization of Other Tourists:
- On the fifth day, our driver was instructed to guide another tourist group, causing a 2-hour delay in our journey to Ayodhya. Subsequently, the driver left us before completing our tour, as the company had allocated him to other tourists.
6. Final Day:
- The vehicle arranged for our drop to the airport had a malfunctioning AC, making the journey uncomfortable.
7. Hotel Standards and Payments:
- The rooms provided in each hotel were far below the 3-star standard that was promised. Each hotel only provided two 500 ml water bottles per day per couple, with additional bottles being chargeable.
- Despite timely payments on my part, I have yet to receive a proper payment receipt. I was also repeatedly asked to make payments to different accounts and was offered a GST discount for cash payments. Fortunately, all payments were made via NEFT to the original account provided.
8. Issue Encountered at Prayagraj:
During our visit to Prayagraj, the driver assigned to us, Mr. Rakesh ([protected] - attached his photo), deliberately misled us by stopping the vehicle 2 kilometers before the actual Triveni Sangam. It became apparent that this was done to direct us towards specific boating vendors, from whom he likely received a commission. He keep on mentioning that not to refer google maps as it contain incorrect location. Consequently, instead of taking a holy bath at the revered Triveni Sangam, our entire family ended up taking the bath in the Ganges at a location where rituals for the deceased are performed. This was a distressing experience, completely contrary to the religious significance of our visit.
It is disheartening to note that the UP government seems to lack proper regulation over boating vendors in the Triveni Sangam area, allowing them to exploit tourists by charging exorbitant fees. Many pilgrims travel from far and wide with the intention of performing a holy bath at the Triveni Sangam, only to be deceived by drivers and vendors who prioritize their commissions over the pilgrims' spiritual needs.
Throughout the trip, I had to repeatedly make complaints regarding the lack of proper services, with Mr. Rohit responding in a manner that seemed more performative than effective. As a customer, I expected a hassle-free and enjoyable experience after spending a significant amount of money, but instead, I was left frustrated and dissatisfied.
I would like to caution anyone considering a journey with Tripknock to remain vigilant about the services provided. Our experience was marred by unprofessional behavior and a lack of genuine concern for our well-being, particularly in matters of religious significance.
