Tsgsrtc — Complaint Regarding Severe Overcrowding and Passenger Safety

I would like to bring to your attention the severe overcrowding and resulting passenger-safety concerns on a TGSRTC Express bus travelling from Korutla BS to Karimnagar BS on 24/08/2026.
Bus details:
Service No.: 1203
Bus Registration No.: TS02UC5919
Depot: Karimnagar-2 Depot
Route: Korutla BS → Karimnagar BS
Date: 24/08/2026
Ticket time: 11:50 AM
Service type: Express
The bus has a seating capacity of approximately 55 passengers, but there appeared to be around 80 passengers onboard. A large number of passengers were standing in the aisle, making the bus extremely crowded and uncomfortable.
Throughout the journey, the driver stopped at various stops as passengers reached their destinations and got off. However, in several instances, the number of passengers boarding was significantly higher than the number getting off, causing the bus to become increasingly overcrowded.
Despite the bus already being severely overcrowded, the driver did not appear to take any action to prevent further overcrowding. The conductor verbally told some passengers not to board, but this was not communicated or enforced strictly. Instead, passengers who were already inside the bus were repeatedly asked to move further inside and make space for additional passengers to board.
This resulted in passengers being packed extremely tightly, including around the entrance and aisle. I personally had to stand near the bus door. The situation was particularly concerning from a safety perspective, as the bus was moving while passengers were standing very close to the entrance.
I understand that public transport can become crowded, especially during busy hours. However, the level of overcrowding on this particular service appeared excessive and raised genuine concerns regarding passenger safety and the ability to safely accommodate additional passengers.
I request TGSRTC to please investigate this particular service, including the passenger load and boarding practices at the various stops, and take appropriate action to prevent such severe overcrowding in the future.
I have retained my ticket as evidence of travelling on this specific service and have photographs showing the overcrowded conditions.
Please look into this matter and take the necessary action.
Thank you.
