Universal Adventures India — TRip Plan Cancellation Refund Unprocessed

On February, I booked a Do Dham Yatra for six persons through Universal adventures India and paid a booking amount of ₹9600 plus GST (total paid to the agency). After making the payment the agent stopped responding to my calls and messages. Later I was able to get in touch with Mr. Tanmay, a senior representative of the agency, who assured me that the booking and arrangements would be handled and that everything would be fine.

In March 2026 it became apparent that the trip might be cancelled. I informed Mr. Tanmay of this possibility; he replied that it would not be a problem and that any refund, if due, would be returned to the source of payment. Subsequently, I confirmed that the trip would not be possible because two elderly members in our group were physically unable to travel.

After this confirmation, the agency provided no formal cancellation confirmation and stopped responding to my calls and messages. Despite repeated follow-ups, there has been no communication from the agency and no refund has been credited back to my original payment method. The agency has not provided any written explanation or timeline for refund, nor have they returned the amount to the source as promised. I do not trust the agency to keep funds in a wallet or issue future refunds or bookings.

Relief sought:

Immediate refund of the full booking amount (₹9600 plus applicable GST) to the original source of payment (bank account/credit card) — not to the agency’s in-app wallet.

Interest or compensation for the delay, if applicable under consumer forum rules.

A written apology and confirmation from the agency acknowledging cancellation and refund process.

I request the consumer forum to direct the agency to refund the disputed amount to my original payment source and to take appropriate action for their unresponsive conduct.
