I have raised a complaint through Coimbatore Corporation Grievance wats app.complaint no: 37943 and Portal - 85233 on Dec 26, 2020.
In our area one person (political backup) encroached govt vacant land and dumping all Electronic waste, chemical broilers, drums and plastics. Which is impacting our health and not safe to our living environment. It has become a birth place for mosquitos, malaria and other various diseases.All our area people opposed many times and he is not willing to vacate from that place. He has given a statement, only govt officials has an authority to vacate us. Day by day dumping wastes are increasing without any fear.
I informed to town planning officer as per SI advise.she visited the site on 01 Feb 2021 gave an assurance encroachment and waste on both the sides will be cleared within two days. But still after 10 days encroachments and dumping of plastic waste continuing without any fear to do so. The foundation for encroachment is shed built in entrance.
When I called again town planning officer, i got a response that it is a health issue problem not related to encroachment even though there is a shed on encroachment land which is base for all the activity.
When i approached the enchroacher to vacate this place, he replied emotionally we got only one house from slum clearing board, for 4 family staying in one house near the encroachment site. we will continue to encroach this place for our use.
I am trying to hard to make our environment clean and neat without any encroachment. During night time different gang people get together to drink alcohol, smoking and talking till 2am midnight.
