vaseline — Latest Vaseline advertisement

On 23rd January, me and my family saw the new Vaseline advertisement. This new advertisement feels more like activist influencing than a GENUINE advertisement.

This is concerning because many women in India use Vaseline products for various skin CARE needs. Such an advertisement can cause irreparable damage to the culture and society of India.

The advertisement had three messages as per the agenda.
1) Pay Parity
2) Marzi se shadi(Marriage when you wish)
3) Kuch bhi pehno(Wear what you wish)

The above three points are not verbatim, but convey the same meaning.

These ideas can be very damaging especially to more immature audience.

1) Pay between men and women in BHARAT are already quite equal at the workspace, whether it is in the organized or the disorganized sector. What is Vaseline encouraging for women exactly?

2) Marzi se shadi. Yes, they can do it. They are infact already able to do it. Marriages in India happen much later than they used to. Why are they showing a seemingly older woman marry a much younger man? They are misguiding youth here which is very damaging to they psyches, their lives and their futures.

3) Kuch bhi pehno. Clothing which exposes too much skin is usually seen in ###/SEX workers. Why is Vaseline encouraging women to dress like SEX workers? They are spoiling the culture and the society in India. We do not this influence from the Western countries. The number of crimes committed against women may increase due to getting influenced by things like this.
