Sir,
i was appointed in a senior capacity with the Velammal Group, on a three year contract and a monthly salary of Rs. 3 lacs as I am a very senior HR professional and was requested by the CEO himself to join as early as possible.
As a senior citizen, still active with my HR consulting assignments in Mumbai, it took me a lot of adjustment to wind up my affairs and move to Chennai early as requested.
The initial days were fine and I started streamlining a lot of activities in the HR dept which probably annoyed the established, loyal crowd. Since none of th proposals I put up got any approvals nor was I given a proper office to function from, I was feeling a little restless. Then on 11th of November 2017, I was told by Antony Vijayaraj, an advisor to the CEO that they wanted me to quit. Though I was promised a meeting with the CEO, that never happened. I then left on 16th November, having worked from 3rd October to 16th November, trying to do things even though very little support was extended by the CEO or the group.
I was promised payment of my dues which totalled Rs. 4.68 lacs. In spite of promises over WhatsApp by the CEO that payment was being made, no payments came. When I persisted, the CEO informed me on 16th December that he was waiting for some funds. But no payment has been done so far though I understand huge payments by way of salary etc. were paid during January, making the reasons for delay in my payment rather dubious.
As a senior citizen, my income is limited and all my savings are exhausted now but my expenses continue to mount.
I therefore request that instructions be passed to the CEO, Mr. Velmurugan, to credit my account ( details already provided) with an amount of Rs.4.68 lacs immediately.
Regards;
Job Xavier ( ex VP- HR, Velammal Education Trust, Chennai)
