Dear Sir,
I applied for a new Gas connection with VijayBharath Gas who is a Bharath Gas distributor for our area ( attibele Bangalore) on 13th February 2014. my documentation and application has been appoved by Bharath Gas ( waiting list id: 8568233). post this i was asked to pay the deposit. the above stated agency wanted me to buy the gas stove along with the connection and wanted me to pay 2000 extra for the stove. as i already own a gas stove, i requested them to not to charge me for this. they then suggested me to buy something of equivalent value from their store which again did not suit my requirement and i kindly declined it. i realized that they were forecfully trying to sell the equipments in their showroom to unsuspecting consumers. i then paid only the deposit amount for the dual cylinder and the associated charges for administration, verification etc to them for INR 4689 and have been given the receipt for the same. i was told that the gas connection will be given in three days.
realizing that i am not budging to their demands they resorted to all types of delaying techniques. first they wanted my gas stove to be checked by their engineer which they took almost a month to set-up. finally the engineer visit happened and my connection was approved. after this i have been following up with them week after week but i have been told that they are out of stock on the regulators. i know this is clearly a lie as one of my neighbor who got his connection transferred from a different agency to this one got his regulator within a week.
every time i visit the agency i am harassed and no specific date is given for my connection. i am undergoing a lot of mental tension and request you to kindly help me with this matter.

I understand your concern. I too had this problem, and I took this legally and have filed the complained against the agency with the consumer court. Do not speak with them politely, give a return on how they speak. Those craps are working for us and they should respect the consumer. In my area, people are aggressively waiting to kick the agency guy (who is always harsh and have a political background). Take things legally, I'm sure you will get justice.Prasanna
