I am filing this complaint against VivantaStays for the abrupt last minute cancellation of my confirmed booking, causing severe inconvenience and financial loss. Despite multiple follow-ups, they have failed to issue a full refund of balance ₹17, 500 and the agreed-upon compensation of ₹30, 000, which was verbally confirmed.
Background:
• Booking Date: 27th March 2025
• Booking ID / Reference No.: RHAKA020
• Location / Property Name: VivantaStays - Villa Princess Vista, Lonavala
• Purpose: Corporate event accommodation for our legal team
• Payment Made: ₹17, 500 (advance)
• Cancellation: Abruptly cancelled by VivantaStays previous night before check-in, without prior notice
Issue:
• The cancellation caused significant disruption to a scheduled corporate event.
• We incurred additional last-minute costs and reputational damage.
• Despite several follow-ups, VivantaStays has only partially refunded ₹15, 000 and continues to delay the balance of ₹2, 500 and the compensation of ₹30, 000, which was discussed and acknowledged.
• No formal apology, explanation, or resolution has been offered to date.
Relief Sought:
1. Immediate payment of the remaining ₹2, 500 refund
2. Full payment of the ₹30, 000 compensation for the inconvenience, damages, and service failure
3. Written apology from the company
4. Compensation for mental stress and deficiency of service under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019
5. Reimbursement of filing and legal costs, if applicable
