Vodafoneidea,

I am constrained to state that your email fails to address the fundamental issue raised in my complaint.

Your email merely reiterates that I am "not eligible" because I recharged on 14 July 2026, whereas the promotional SMS was sent on 10 July 2026. However, you have once again failed to answer the central question:

Where in the promotional SMS did Vi disclose that the offer was valid only on the date of the SMS or until 00:00 hrs?

The answer is simple—nowhere.

In fact, your own representatives have already admitted in writing that the expiry date and time were not mentioned in the SMS. Having acknowledged this omission, Vi cannot now seek to enforce an undisclosed internal condition against a customer who acted on an official promotional communication.

The SMS clearly stated:

"Just for you! EXTRA 50GB (90 Days) with Unlimited Local/National Calls + 30GB + 3600 SMS. Validity: 365 Days."

The phrase "Just for you" merely signifies that the offer was specifically extended to my number. It does not state, either expressly or by implication, that the offer would lapse if the recharge was made after a particular date or time. Had Vi intended to impose such a restriction, it was incumbent upon the company to communicate it clearly in the SMS itself.

Instead, Vi is attempting to introduce material conditions only after the recharge has been completed. Such an approach is neither transparent nor fair and amounts to a misleading promotional communication.

Further, your statement that "benefits cannot be reassigned once the recharge is done" is an internal operational policy. It cannot override Vi's obligation to honor the promotional representation that induced the customer to recharge. Internal policies cannot defeat legitimate customer expectations arising from an official communication.

Despite several representations, Vi has neither disputed the contents of the SMS nor denied that the expiry conditions were omitted. Instead, it has repeatedly relied upon undisclosed internal policies while refusing to rectify its own communication lapse.

Accordingly, I once again call upon Vi to honor its promotional commitment and credit the promised 50GB data to my account. At the very least, considering Vi's admitted failure to disclose the validity period, this issue merits resolution as a goodwill gesture rather than a continued denial.

If this matter is not resolved promptly, I shall proceed with escalating the matter before the appropriate telecom and consumer grievance authorities, relying upon the promotional SMS, the recharge details, Vi's written admissions, and the complete correspondence to demonstrate that the denial is based solely on undisclosed terms that were never communicated to me.

I trust Vi will reconsider its position and resolve this matter without necessitating further proceedings.

We hope you understand that, the Recent recharge Plan of Rs.2249/- on your number currently provides only 30GB with service validity 365 days, and does not provide the extra 50GB that you done recharge at 14 Jul '26 5:06 pm and you received the sms at 10 July 2026 at 5:14 PM hence you are not eligible for extra 50Gb data also please be informed that once the recharge is done, benefits cannot be reassigned. I have mentioned below in this email the SMS received from Vi, which clearly formed the basis of my decision to proceed with the recharge. I request that you verify the offer and ensure that the promised benefit is credited without further delay.

Further, I attempted to contact Vi Customer Care on 199 to seek assistance. Unfortunately, my call was disconnected from your end, and no callback was initiated. This prevented me from obtaining support and reflects an unsatisfactory customer service experience. Not happy!

I request that this matter be investigated on priority and that Vi honor the promotional commitment communicated through its official SMS.

If the issue is not resolved within a reasonable timeframe, I will be constrained to pursue the matter through the appropriate regulatory and consumer grievance forums, including the telecom grievance mechanism, for redressal.
