We hired a lady caretaker from this agency for my Mentally challenged nephew through this agency. They showed me details of two women through whatsapp and we selected a 40 year old lady whom they told was experienced. Then after 2 days they told that that lady is not available so another lady called Bama is available. We were told that this lady has experience in patient care.
After they sent the person, they wanted us to pay 1 month salary as commission upfront as cash. Elizabeth, the partner in the company came to our house and gave us a one page agreement. When we asked for receipt for payment, they said that we don't provide a receipt. So in the absence of a receipt, I gave them a cheque which they insisted should be in the owner, Prakash Marto's name and not in the company name.
Now the real fun started. This lady Bama, was the worst care taker that we have come across in the last 15 years since my Nephew was born. Toally absent minded, careless, irresponsible, casual and stupid. We are not sure if all the drama we did was real or she was acting on behest of these people. We found her to be totally inexperienced and not having any commonsense at all on how to go about taking care of the child. She was not able to feed the kid or do any other useful task.
On the first day we were told that she had taken care of an elder patient before coming to our place. But later when we asked her where she had worked, she had was not able to tell us the location. Then she changed her statement and told that she had worked as domestic help in the Agency owner's house.
This lady was a real pain. She did not know basic things that we normally take for granted in a urban house. One day we told her to switch off the Gas and she shut it then left the knob open leading to gas leak for more than 15 mins. Thankfully nothing untoward happened. We had given her a separate bathroom on the first floor and she would leave the taps open there when the tank was empty. Then come down, switch on the sump motor leading to all the water getting wasted.
The striking thing was that this person would keep doing the same mistakes no matter how many times we told her or showed her how to do something. The worst thing she would do was to leave the mosquito screen doors open while going out along with the main door (wide open). One day she got up and went to the bathroom at 2 am in the night and left the doors open while we were sleeping!!!
One the first day we asked her to use our ground floor bathroom and she urinated on the floor instead of the commode. Thereafter we told her to use the first floor bathroom. She then started urinating around the house as she was lazy to go to the 1st floor. My mother caught her passing urine behind the car and under the mango tree. We have a small temple inside the compound and this woman had no sense not to urinate around the place! Such as lousy person.
Finding that this lady was not good for anything i asked Elizabeth for a replacement after a week. First when she came to collect money she told us that they usually provide replacement within two days. So after a couple of days they sent another lady who came late in the evening This person was another character. Her was kind of dominating and spoke to us in a disrespectful way.
After coming home she told that she will only wear a nighty during day time. We told her that she can only wear proper work clothes during day time. She also told that she didn't like to got to the first floor bathroom and made up lots of other excuses. So we told her the next morning that she could leave and don't want her. So she went upstairs to pack her bags and after a long time didn't come down. When my mom went upstairs to find out, she shouted at my mom and told in a bad tone that she's getting dressed.
After she came down, she told us that her gold watch is missing and asked us to look for it. Everyone searched and could not find it. She then told us that we should pay her the cost of the watch. We were shocked! My mom then asked her to bring her bags and when we searched, the bags, the watch was found cleverly hidden in a side pouch in the bag.
So we sent her back and told Bama to stay back till we Elizabeth found us a replacement. I asked Elizabeth to find a replacement. For the next 3 weeks no replacement came. She wouldn't pick up the phone so i went to her office once and reminded. She assure but still no replacement came. Since my nephew lost 1 month of school, i decided to go through another agency and got a caretaker by paying 1 month commission again.
The day the new person came, i sent away Bama and told Elizabeth to give her the salary from the one month commission. Next day Prakash Marto called me and told me in a threatning manner that we have to pay 5K extra towards service charges and 4 days extra work. I told them that because of the incompetent person they sent, my nephew lost one month of school and my 72 year old mother had to do all the work to look after the boy, we will not pay any extra money and hung up. Then he started calling me continously and told me to that he would send his lawyer to collect the money. The next day he called and told that he is going to the Police station and that some Inspector from Virgumbakkam police station would call me. he then called from some other number and tried to impersonate the Police guy. I hung up the call and blocked all their numbers. This is how this agency harasses their customers. So please don't deal with the agency. Later he whatsapped me and asked me where i was and that he wanted to come and see me (Covert threat).
Later in the evening, they sent Bama to our house and she told us that we have to pay her the full 12K salary as the agency is saying that we can't pay you so go and ask the employer. She started crying and created a scene at our house. All drama. She told us that if we don't pay her she will go to the nearby Police station and lodge a complaint and also call her grown up son. My mother, who is 72 got very upset. When we tried calling Elizabeth or Prakash Marto, they didn't pick up the call. So late in the evening i had to get 12k from the ATM and give it to Bama. As soon as she go the money, her face changed and she happily took the money and disappeared.
So for employing a useless, incompetent, irresponsible, absent minded and lazy person who was not able to feed my nephew or take him to school, who would leave the doors of the house fully open at 2am in the night, I had to pay 12K to the useless agency called VSP Manpower as one month commission and 12K to the useless employee, Bama. 24K lost in one month.
Now when i am asking them for refund, they are saying "No refund Policy". So we have decided to file a case in the Consumer court for refund and damages.
I suspect that these people send people like Bama, who do all the drama just to make the customer send her back so that they can usurp the commission amount and repeat the same thing with other gullible customers. This is the modus operandi of many such fly-by-night agencies these days.
So please do not engage this agency as they will send some incompetent person and spoil your peace of mind not to mention scam you out of your hard earned money.
