Got contacted by Mukesh Mann of Western Star Packers & Movers Bengaluru [on 16th Aug 2022] on an online enquiry to ship a Scooty to my daughter in Manipal.

The rate quoted was INR 2400/- for packing & despatch of the Scooty to manipal. This was further negotiated down to INR 2000/- and a token to be provided to facilitate pick-up & despatch.

On 31st Aug 2022, a token Payment of INR 1000/- was done [at 1034 AM] via electronic transfer and they organized pickup of the Scooty by Mr. Sunil Kumar. Once the Scooty reached their premises in Yeshwanthpur I was asked to pay the balance amount against a consignment note.

The payment asked for was paid for in FULL as per screenshot below.

Thereafter, they raise another INVOICE with a total amount of INR 7650/- of which they have set-off INR 2200/- paid earlier. NEW DEMAND is of INR 5450/- before the Scooty can be handed over at Manipal. [LR No. 2026 dt 31.08.22]

I requested them to hand me back the vehicle as they are continuously changing the charges and am not sure if there will be any more charges to be paid before they handover the Scooty to my daughter in Manipal.

They, however, claimed that the vehicle is already on its way to Manipal and such small misrepresentation is part of the BUSINESS. If it was small change, it would be OK but demanding 7650/- against original committed price of INR 2200/- is not acceptable.

How do I ensure that there will be no FURTHER DEMAND BEFORE THE SCOOTY is handed over to my address in MANIPAL? Kindly confirm that there will be no ADDITIONAL DEMAND. THE PAYMENT WILL BE MADE ON HANDING OVER OF THE SCOOTY in MANIPAL.
