Whatsapp — improve the delete message feature

I like the message delete feature. But you guys should not inform the message recipient that the sender deleted a message.
That defies the whole purpose of me deleting the message in the first place.
Also, deleting the message for both sender and receiver is not always applicable. It should be applicable at all times, because why would i want to delete a message i sent from my phone only?
It doesn't make sense.
