www.careerstep.in — Fraud website

Address:New Delhi, Delhi
Website:www.careerstep.in

I had been contacted by someone from www.careerstep.in. The caller identified himself as Vineet and he discussed about some job openings abroad. He said that they provide job opportunities to candidates and as per him they had a requirement for some company in South Africa and he said that my current profile matches the companies requirements. He said that this was a paid service and once I register with them they will provide details of multiple companies. I made the payment through their website and was shocked to notice that after making the payment they did not provide any transaction reference number. The next day when I contacted them the answer I got was that the office is closed for 2 days. Since the payment was made online there is no way I stop it or put it on hold. I also discovered that the website www.careerstep.in was mirrored from another website www.myperfectresume.com

I have been approached by an HR professional by the name Mr. Ronik ( [protected]/ [protected]) from CareerStep Consultants stating my profile has been shortlisted with Deloitte & they would like to set up my interview with you. However, before setting up an interview round, they asked me for an security amount of approx 1800 to pay online on their company website. Not sure, how authentic this is, hence wanted to reach some officials within Deloitte to verify if this is an authentic call. enclosed is the link to this company's website, & they mention themselves as your recruitment partners. http://www.careerstep.in/
As a professional, I doubt if such a big company as Deloitte would engage in recruitment practices which are not authentic enough & charging form job seekers. I hope you will take right attention to my query & help if any wrong practices are being followed.
After registering the complaint on www.consumercomplaint.in forum I got a call from some Mayur from phone number +[protected] saying that they are sorry for being able to provide the service they promised and are ready to refund the amount I have paid, but on the condition that I delete the complaint I have posted. it has alreadt been 2 weeks and they have nor refunded anything. When I celled him again on his number he ensured that it will be done soon. Just as expected it was a bogus commitment and I am sure that they must have called all those who have registered the complaint against them.

One of my friend got call from [protected] and and had paid around 30, 000 through the payment option in the website. This number is switched off from the next day and no response after that. They are filing an FIR against the website and this number now.
This is a fraudulent team making job aspirants gullible and extorting money. At first a girl calls & creates a rosy picture of a job opportunity. Then she transfers the call to a so called 'HR' person who will trap you to pay Rs1800 as Registration fee. Next day you will get a call from one more person who takes you through a payment portal and makes you pay a big sum (Rs 15000 & above) saying that you will get back money even if you do not accept the job after interviews. I have asked my lawyer to put a case against this bogus portal in Cyber crimes Tribunal so that these people are caught & stopped from fooling people. Please be careful if you get a call like this. Get all their contact details & immediately inform the appropriate authorities. Please note the number - [protected].
Similar case as all of the above.
I got a call today from a number claiming he is from careerstep and they have tied up with a reputed company and that my resume is shortlisted for a job opening. But I will have to pay an amount of 2000 which I will get back on the day of face to face interview. I paid the amount and he connected me to HR who told me that the server is down and he cannot send the email right away. The numbers are : [protected] and [protected]. Please do not fall into the trap.

I received a call from Ronik [protected] pune. He said he is a recruiter from www.careerstep.in and when asked how he got my resume, mentions that he picked it from Shine.com(jobs website which popped when i was actually filling in to monster.com). Well the rest is exactly the same as pray.chavan mentioned above. The guy was so fast n blabbered in urgent tone as if the job would be gone if i don't make a payment now. Unfortunately fell for the lucrative offer and paid online about 45 mins back. but had my doubts as the website got security blocked and felt something fishy. Called up my Credt card an blocked it from further misuse(not sure if the website is fraud). Landed in this page after searching for fraud:(:(. What are the chances they can misuse the details mentioned in the process... home address, mobile number...:(:( How do we register a consumer complaint on such transactions.
This is the first time I fell in the trap online ...feeling miserable:(
I have been just contacted by the number [protected]. The lady said there is a job opening for which i need to fill up a form and transferred to her senior. They made me come online and said once the form is submitted, my interview will be confirmed. I have to pay some money. Anyway i found it fishy from the beginning as the lady spoke such bad English and doesn't seem to know anything about the job profile she was telling me. I told them i was not interested in paying anything, so they just hung up. Be careful guys.
I got a call from Ronik from [protected] with the similar story as above. I happened to make a payment of 1900. I happened to see the above comments just after I made the payment. On the call I told that you are making fake calls and he did not have the slightest fear. He just replied that you can also comment on the same website against me.

Can someone tell the right place to complain such things.
An important point to note is, he was having my resume with him and he was able to tell everything I had written in it.

I have faced same situation as above with Priya Chavan. I have been approached by an HR professional by the name Mr. Ronik ( [protected]) from CareerStep Consultants stating my profile has been shortlisted as Senior Software Engg. (informing salary package of 18.53 Lac p.a) with Deloitte & they would like to set up my interview with you. He asked me for some procedure that they need to complete and amount which was needed to pay will be refunded to me after recruitment and interview was over. I have paid 1943/- online on their company website. Again, he called me on next day morning and transferred the call to his Regional Head as he will handle rest of the procedure. Again, he asked to pay 9904/- . After that, there is no call and no mail, nothing. Even they are not calling back as well as mailing. I tried to connect Deloitte Office to verify if this is an authentic call but that was Saturday and no one was picking up the call however, I got the information from reception person that Deloitte website is www.deloitte.in however the website they have mentioned was www.deloitteindia.com which was not opening. Enclosed is the link to this company's website, & they mention themselves as Deloitte's one and only recruitment partners. http://www.careerstep.in/
Please help me with the refund of money that I have paid.
