[Resolved]  Aegon Religare — Fraudulent phone call asking to claim bonus

I got a call from [protected] asking me to claim the bonus declared by my insurance company (Max Life Insurance) which invests premiums paid by its customers in Aegon Religare. The person on the other end claimed to be calling from Insurance portal, Noida representing all 28 insurance providers in the market. He told me that my company is distributing the profit dividend which will go into the agent's pocket if I do not remove him as a middleman between me and my company. For this, he asked me to submit identity documents, photographs and a cheque of amount equal to the annual premium I pay. He told me that a person will collect from me. But when I told him that if this is the case then, I will submit these documents and the cheque in person to Aegon Religare office. After thinking for a while, he still insisted me for collection by agent. But I refused. I request you to please look into this matter and take measures to curb such frauds.
