[Resolved]  Air India Express — Baggage misplacement

My family and I, boarded our flight AI-975 on 20th of October, 2014, from Chennai (MAA) to Goa (GOI). On reaching Goa, we found that one of our luggage has been misplaced with someone else's. But the tag number (RD25WHX) and TC (AI542924) was correct. It just wasn't our bag. So, we complained to the respected authority in GOA and filed a PROPERTY IRREGULARITY REPORT (PIR). We later realized that, in one of the AIR INDIA counters in Chennai airport, we were asked to leave after we had checked in our main luggage during the check-in. [ The respected person AIR INDIA official asked us to leave before he would put the tags on our bags. He called the next person in line to come ahead for check-in. So, that AIR INDIA official has put one of our tags on his bag and his bag on ours'. ] We also realized that passengers for another flight to SHARJAH were also boarding. After realizing this, we called the AIR INDIA authorities in Chennai and Goa and we clearly explained the situation to them. They weren't responsive at all. They were just blaming the responsibility on each other. And, every time we called, a new official answered the phone and we had to explain the whole situation once again. There wasn't any progress at all. Alas, we got hold of Mr.Mahadev, an AIR INDIA official of Goa. To our burden, he wasn't available most of the time. After so many calls being made to AIR INDIA ( chennai and goa ) by us for the past three days, one of the Chennai officials tracked our bag in Sharjah which was under the name 'DANDAPANI RAVINDRAN' and he asked us to follow this up with the Goa officials. We told this information to the Goa officials and there weren't any response. We were told to wait for Mr.Mahadev, who wasn't available. They didn't pick up our calls most of the time. So, we got hold of Mr.Mahadev in the Goa airport. He told us that we would get our baggage two days later. It was four days since we lost our bag and two days since we told them that the bag has been tracked. If they were responsible enough, they could have got our bag the next day after the bag was tracked. But, still the bag hasn't reached us. We are totally disappointed on the Air India officials. They could have been more careful, prudent, responsible and responsive. The whole trip was a blunder because of this mistake and we regret traveling in AIR INDIA.
