I cancelled booking ref. EVHXZ9 by Air India Express on June 28th, 2013. When followed up on the status, AIE customer service informed that the payment has already been transferred to my account but when I checked with my bank I found that AIE has not transferred the refund amount. Then the AIE Customer service informed that that matter has been advised to their Finance Dept. but there after no response to emails no. I am totally disappointed with such a service from the National Carrier. The sector booked was Sharjah-Cochin-Sharjah. AIE customer support last correspondence to me is copied below:-
