I booked a return flight from Trichy to Abu Dhabi and back, for me and my wife. I travelled from Trichy on 26-MAR-2023 by IX 639. My return date was 02-APR-2023. As the work at Abu Dhabi got extended, I wanted to change the return date to 09-APR-2023. In the meantime to my misfortune, Air India Express was revamping the system subsequent to the merger with Air Asia. The system unification was a complete fiasco. In spite of having TCS, one of the best system integrators in the world, it is a wonder how they managed to goo[censored]p the revamp.
I wanted to change the flight thru 'Manage' feature. The system could not retrieve the itinerary neither with PNR nor without PNR.
I went to Abu Dhabi office today (30-MAR-2023). They struggled to change the flight. After a marathon struggle for 2 hours, they said that they had changed it in the system; but were unable to issue the revised itinerary till now although they promised to send the ticket by email. I am not blaming the front-end support, but the back-end fiasco by TCS, presumably. I want the revised ticket for me to travel. I have given the details below:
