BMW — complaint reg fault in tyres

Address:Ambala, Haryana, 135003

Dear sir,
I (Ashwani singla) have purchased bmw 520d (Hro2 an 0025) in oct 2017 from krishna automobile, chandigarh. Approximately, after 5 months of purchasing the car, in apr’18, the rear rh tire got burst. I was informed by the dealer that this has happened due to some special event wherein tire underwent some huge impact and eventually gave up. As i had taken advance secure insurance, so i was asked to shell out 50% of the tyre amount which was rs.40, 000/-which i reluctantly did so. On delivery, the old front rh tire was fitted at rear rh side and new tyre was assembled in the front. It was logical as i know that higher wear of tyres happen on front side of vehicle. Now, i started doubly ensuring to keep all my tyres optimally inflated. (Although i have a habit to inflate tyres on regular basis). But to my horror, i found the same side tyre (I. E. Rear rh tyre) has now got burst again and i was again submitted the same old lame excuse that it was due to some abnormal event while driving and hasn’t happened due to any fault in the tyre properties. This happened in jun’18 i. E. Just 2 months after my last visit to dealer. So, i again found myself paying rs 30, 000/- for no fault of mine and it was now reassuring to me that something is definitely wrong with the tyre part quality as this tyre too could live hardly 15000 km. My car tire’s brand is pirelli. I failed to understand that when the tyre life committed by company is 25000 km, then why two tyres got burst in less than ½ of their lifespan?
Now, with all this tyre replacement distress and hefty financial blows, i was utmost careful to drive car very safely and taking due care of all tyres periodically, every 7 days. But story still continues, i found myself again at the krishna automobile dealer at chandigarh, again in next 2 months i. E. On 6th aug’18 reporting again the same concern for tyre bursting. This time it was the rear lh tyre. Now, i get another disturbing reply from dealer that the tyre would have probably worn out and that’s why it got burst whereas it was clearly evident that the thread pattern was more prominent than its front side counterpart. I was left puzzled on dealer’s this argument as he himself had shifted the front tire at rear in my last visit and fitted brand new one at front, saying that wear is more susceptible at front side due to engine load. My car has hardly clocked 22k km till date and 3 tyres have not lived up to their minimum expected life of 25k km!
My agony doesn’t stop even here. The dealer now plans to further swindle me and he submits a new tyre replacement quote of rs 76, 648. This is totally inadmissible. I am already less by approx half a lac bucks due to some technical fault in tyre at company’s end and add to that the emotional drain and annoyance. From 6th aug till date, my car is with the dealer. I am being totally vexed now with this dealer’s attitude and i urge you to pls look into my concern on war footing.in the last 16 years of my driving life, i have never faced this kind of tyre burst phenomenon at such high frequency rate and at top such immature and pathetic arguments from any other car dealer. With such discontent on driving this vehicle now, i need some root cause analysis and guarantee from the company on not meeting this issue again in my life.
Also, i strongly feel that i stand a right to demand complete reimbursement of amount i have paid, as dealer has clearly duped me. Although the car claims to be safe, but with such sudden tyre bursts it is nevertheless a certain level of risk for my family also to drive in this vehicle. I also seek some compensation against the trauma and my bitter experiences driving this car. Not even a year ago, i had purchased such expensive car of yours, with great enthusiasm and interest but now i have started to believe on my misfortune to get associated with this car. I hope the company compensates me aptly and reverses this thought of mine, awaiting a reply from you sir.
