CBSE — MISTAKES IN JEE MAINS QUESTION PAPER (PEN & PAPER BASED) BY CBSE

[protected]@nic.in [protected]@timesgroup.com Sir, 1. Official Answer keys of JEE Mains is announced by CBSE. As per that two questions of pen and paper based examination is wrong. In test booklet 'C' these are question numbers 51 and 53. Q.No.53 is wrong as it has two correct answers i.e. Option No 1 and 4 is correct rather than one correct answer. 2. It is requested that full marks (i.e. 4 marks)for question no.51 should be given to the examinee who have attempted the question. In case of Q.No. 53, marks should be given to examinees who have marked option No. 1 or 4 as correct, as per format of test only one question is supposed to be correct. 3. You are requested to kindly look in to this as otherwise candidates who gave Pen and Paper based examination will be at a disadvantage Vis-a- Vis there counterparts who gave Online exam and had all questions correct. Additionally, online paper was much easier than pen and paper base examination 4. Please ensure students future in this highly competitive world is not ruined because of mistake of CBSE. Thanking you for your kind and just gesture. Regards

Sir,

I would like to add further on the wrong questions in the offline exam held on 4/4/2015

1. In the test paper booklet A, there are 5 questions which are doubtful as given below:

- In Physics Section, Question 10(No correct answer) and Question 15 (double correct answers
in single correct option type question) -- CBSE has also indicated this in official answer key

- In Chemistry Section, question 34 ( correct answers seem to be 2 and 4 as pointed out by reputed Jee experts as well as
coaching institutes) but CBSE says 4 as the answer.)

- In Maths section, Questions 77 and 86 are found to be theoretically wrong as pointed out by reputed Jee experts as well as coaching institutes ( CBSE has not said anything about this but given only answer option in the answer key)

2. Due to these problems, people who have taken offline exam have been put into unnecessary trouble and are at a disadvantage Vis-a- Vis there counterparts who gave Online exam. The offline exam was conducted within 8 days after CBSE board exam while online was after 15 days, giving the online exam taker more time for preparation. Additionally the online paper was much easier than pen and paper based examination without any errors in the questions/answers.

3. You are requested to kindly look in to this and to set the matter right, CBSE/JEE main authorities should give full bonus marks for all the five questions (question no 10, 15, 34, 77 and 86 in the test code A paper). In 2014, CBSE/JEE main has awarded full bonus marks for all the wrong questions.

4. Please ensure students future in this highly competitive world is not ruined due to the above pointed mistakes which are NOT by/from the students side.

Thanking you for your kind and just gesture.

Regards
