[Resolved] CESC (Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation) — Incorrect meter reading related to bill for June 2014.

Consumer Id: [protected], Consumer no.:[protected]. Amount shown in the bill against consumption of 1144 units is absurd and shocking. Our load consisting of CFL and two ceiling fans have remained unchanged for last few years.More over the present reading is shown as 6379 and previous reading comfortably not mentioned. In the month of May, 2014 the previous reading was mentioned but not the present reading. These are the types of bills being sent to the consumers to create unnecessary confusion. The meter reading was checked 2015 hrs on 31/07/2014 and was found to be showing 5432. Can you please explain how can the meter reading taken on 19/06/14 show 6379? Kindly send your reply with the revised bill for June 2014, till then I shall keep the payment on hold. I should not be penalised in any way for fault/lapses at your end. Regards.
