I made a booking at Sri Gokulam Sabari Guruvayoor, Guruvayoor, Kerala for 22 Oct 2022 through cleartrip. Cleartrip has confirmed my booking and issued a Hotel Voucher.
When I reached at the hotel around 9:30pm, the hotel guys mentioned that there is no such booking and they don't have any tie up with cleartrip.
I was denied a room at the hotel.
I called up the cleartrip customer care number mentioned in the hotel voucher which first got connected to the flight booking division and then redirected to hotel booking section which almost took 20 min to connect to an agent.
The customer care agent put my phone on hold and tried to connect to the person in charge from hotel which he mentioned as unsuccessful..
He told me that there are not able to find any alternate booking for me and the best they can do is to refund the amount. I denied that and ask him to escalate the issue to next level which he said will happen on the next day only. I was left with no other options and had to spend time on the roads with family in the middle of the night.
I was expecting a callback the next day and still not yet received any calls, but getting email saying that they try to contact me and my phone is not reachable. I am not sure why cleartrip alone is unable to connect on my phone when I am receiving every other calls.
