I booked return tickets MUM-COK 15th-19th March'22. After travelling to COK, due to a medical emergency I could not travel back to MUM. I cancelled my ticket with cleartrip on 16th March '22(before 3 days of return journey). The customer care executive processed my return and told me that cancellation charges would be airline fee( Rs3000) + cleartrip fees and balance I would get refunded.
After this, I received an email from Cleartrip (Air Fulfillment Refund & Cancellation Team's Shruti Ninave) that as per airline policy the cancellation is not possible in the return sector.
To escalate this matter, I called Cleartrip Customer Care -
1) Cleartrip app mentioned that my ticket is cancelled. But it was not done by airline.
2) After escalation with Cleartip customer care executive, I talked to the airline via cleartrip CustomerCare executive. The airline clearly told me(I have the call recording) that there is NO SUCH POLICY. This means that cleartrip team misguided me and committed fraud by lying about airline policy.
3) The airline also told me that cleartrip did not even ask about cancellation and only asked about cancellation charges.
After this escalation call, they assured me that the cleartrip team will arrange a callback in 24 hours. I missed their call as they disconnected the call after 2 rings. After this, they sent me an email that airline agent did not take details on cancellation date and hence they can not give me a refund as the date has passed.
This was the fault of cleartrip who-
1) Committed FRAUD by lying about airline policy
2) Not cancelling the ticket when their app showed me that it was cancelled

Desirable Solution
1) Exact refund that I should have been given should be credited to me . When I cancelled the ticket it was 3 days prior to departure, so as per airline policy mentioned on Cleartrip website cancellation charge is 3000 + cleartrip fee. Detailed breakup of the same should be given
