My friend was booking an air ticket, and under traveler details I had first written my own name, which he changed later on while booking his ticket. He changed the traveller name to his name, put in his email id and number, and paid the full amount for the ticket.
Guess what happens next, I get a confirmation mail from the airline itself with an air ticket in my name, while he gets a confirmation from cleartrip with a PNR ID under his name!
This absolute absurdity made us call the customer support, which denied responsibility completely, asking us to just cancel the ticket which would lead to us losing money because of their incompetence. After a bit of wrangling, the customer support asked for 4 hrs time to understand the issue and promised to call back.
We got no call. And when we called, they conveniently did not answer. Now we do not know under who's name the ticket is since we have received no confirmation from them. Was this information helpful? |
