We have paid Rs.33000 for 5 year alternate membership in Club Jiva, along with Rs.6000 as annual maintenance fee. We wanted to go to Nainital in November this year (2016), and gave a two months advance notice to Club Jiva via mail to their reservation id.
After multiple email follow-ups and calls to Club Jiva's customer care, the only response we get is that Club Jiva is in discussion with the hotel management for reservation and I will get my confirmation "soon". Not once did any Club Jiva executive call me back or drop me a mail for any update.
After 2-3 weeks of random assurances by call centre agents, I called up the Nainital hotel management directly. Got to know that no one from Club Jiva have contacted them for any room booking in November! In fact, the hotel has rooms available and can give immediate confirmation.
Is this company completely fraud and does not want to give me a confirmation. Did they only want my membership fee while providing zero services? I think they expect me to forget the money because of all this hassle in getting a room.
How can such an organization exist in India? Are there not legal ways to ensure such scams don't happen? This company seems to continue swindling customers of their money, despite so many complaints seen on consumer forums. Need a way out of this. I'm willing to take this up legally, if not for my membership fees, at least as a social obligation to prevent other customers from falling in this trap. Was this information helpful? |
