congratulations, to all the high ranking MBA"S employed by MARUTI UDYOG LTD for lureing customers to buy cars from MARUTI. Selling EXTENDED WARRANTY for 3to 4 YEARS for cars not capable of running for even one year.

MY CAR SWIFT DIESEL (LDI) MH-01-AC-4497 PURCHASED IN APRIL/2007, LAST TWO MONTHS I AM FACING GEAR PROBLEM, SAI SERVICE LOWER PAREL HAD DONE SOME JOB BUT STILL GEARS ARE NOT SMOOTH. THIS COMPLAINT ALREADY GIVEN ON PHONE BUT STILL NO RESPONSE FORM THEM.

I own a Maruti Gypsey King Model 1998.The call stops once you leave the accleator.The car was rectified once for this reason 3 months back.Since then the car has run for about 1000 k.m.The same problem has reoccured & now the service engineer says that the entire carburator needs to be replaced.A new carburator cost Rs. 18000.00/- approx. Kindly help & suggest as the vehical is lying in the authorise service center for the repair of the same.

1. It is intimated that I have purchased a Maruti car (Zen Estilo VXI model) having engine no. 3237387, chassis no. 115089 on 21 Feb 2007 from Prem Motors Pvt Ltd Gwalior and all services are done by the Prem motors in time and car under extended warranty. Since 6 months, Many times I have told that center locking is not working properly and technician of Nippon has checked and told that motor assembly is not working properly and that should be replaced, but they are doing oiling, greasing and the problem is still there. I have also complaint to Mr Rahul Gupta (Regional Manager - Indore) regarding this problem many times, but no any positive action has been taken by Prem Motors till date. I am feeling very bad to complaint you.

2. You are requested to do needful for rectification of above problem and take action against service center. Thanking you.

I bought one Maruti Omni five seater from Dewars Garage Ltd, 83/1 Topsia road ( S ) Kolkata- 700046 in the name of my wife Mukti Deb on 26th of Nov ' 08 by paying Rs. 258002.00 (Rupees two lac fifty eight thousand two only) vide pay order no- 0217571 on Union Bank Of India. At the time of booking my car I also opted for additional warranty for 3 years / 30000 km as offered by your company by paying necessary amt which was included in the aforesaid pay order amt.
I got a challan receipt no- 2642 dt 26.11.08 from Dewar's Garage Ltd for the whole amt. My cars chassis no is 1057985 and engine no is 4022749.
While making the Draft I was told by their sales representative that they would return my excess payment within a day or two as they were not sure about the actual price of the car as you were running a discount scheme during that time but inspite of repeated request and reminders till date they havent return my money nor they have given me any bill- no extended warranty card ... absolutely nothing !!!.After nearly one month on 24th Dec' 08 I got a letter from Dewars Garage Ltd from Mr Debraj Saha - Asst sales Manager a hand written letter in their letter head mentioning that they would return my money maximum within seven days but till date I m yet to receive the excess amount that I have paid to them. I simply dont know how this can possibly happen from a authorised sales counter of your company.Will you please let me know what was the on road price of Maruti Omni 5 seater ( White ) the day I purchased my car at Kolkat on 26th Nov' 08
I m looking forward for your response and I am sure that you will take necessary action so that these things do not happen with any other Maruti customer.

Sir,

I have purchased a new Maruti ALTO LXI on 08/10/2008 from Competent Automobiles Co. Ltd Tikkar (Didwin) Hamirpur (H.P). The above car was fully insured through your company vide policy No. 4685163 before its delivery.

I had hand over the vehicle at your workshop Competent Automobiles Co. Ltd Tikkar (Didwin) Hamirpur (H.P) on 31.10.2008 vide job order No. 504215 for its repair. Consequently, I have taken back my car after about one moth i.e.28.11.2008. However, your company had charged Rs. 23000/- (Rs.21500/- cash against receipt No.C003755 dated 28/11/2008 + Rs.1500/- by adjusting of receipt for Crain charges from NIT campus to works Tikkar (Didwin). It is not clear for me when my car (Vehicle & Accessories) was fully insured and even one month has not been completed after its purchase then why Rs.23000/- has been charged from me. I have asked for details of Rs. 23000/- but your company personal give me evasion reply in this regard, which is not desirable.

After my repeating demand for details of Rs.23000/-, the competent automobiles co.ltd. has refunded me Rs. 3843/- vide cheque No.054960 dated 23/1/2009 and verbally told me that a sum of Rs.7900/- has been deducted for new parts in addition to 50% depreciation. Although I had purchased the above car during October 2008 and was fully insured (Vehicle & Accessories) then it should be charged from insurance company not from me.

I must make it clear that my patience is fully exhausted and ultimately I have written to your good self for appropriated intervention in the matter and refund excess amount to me charged by your company.

Dear Freinds,
I have gone thru a few of the complaints and I FULLY AGREE that MARUTI UDYOG is an organisation of deaf and Dumbs, specially after they have received the payment for their product.
The Japanese culture to be inculcated ( THE 5 S ) are all for the books. I am also like many, a silent sufferer and all efforts to highlight my problem about fraudelently charging excess payment by a dealer for a new Dezire (MODERN AOTO, HISSAR ) have not reaped any results, on the contrary the management which earlier was in agreement of the wrong sided with the dealer subsequently.
So, is there any point unless u take respite thru the court and publicise the same as the management who seem to be hand in glove with the dealers have least concern for the customers.

I am enclosing a mail forwarded to [protected]@hcl.in on 17 Feb 09. The officer at Vasant Kunj office who was earlier in agreement changed his stance after speaking with the zonal incharge of Maruti at Chandigarh, who also differed his stance after the dealer refused to give delivery of the vehicle until the additional sum was paid., tentamounting to blackmail. Anyway since I did not have much choice I had to accept it as fate accompli.
Thouh I have very little hope of receiving a reply but I am sure it's worth a try.

Dear Sirs,

I am a Defence Service officer and
I had booked a MARUTI SWIFT DEZIRE, VDI thru Canteen Stores Dept, Area Depot Hissar and made full applicable payment of Rs 5, 39, 531/-vide Draft No. 213220 dated 14 Jan 09 of Syndicate bank.

The draft was deposited with CSD and I was issued a receipt towards same by the CSD Depot, Hissar vide receipt No. 0R[protected] Dated 16 Jan 09.

The Car was billed by MARUTI UDYOG vide SRDC100 P6 D1256040 Dated 29/1/09.

To my surprise when my Rep visited MODERN AUTOMOBILES HISSAR for collection of the car, as informed by them, the dealer refused to part with the Car unless I paid an additional sum of Rs 7000/- Cash or deposit similar amount in their account.

Inspite of my repeated request that I have paid my dues in full and final as per the CSD rates, besides I am not obliged to pay the dealer any sum directly.
The delivery of my Car was stalled by the dealer.

I was forced to pay the amount stating that the price of the Car has since been increased by MARUTI UDYOG (on 27 Jan 09 ).

My request that the price has increased subsequent to my having paid the full and final amount towards the car and tentamounts to a breach in contract once the payment has been received much before the date of price increase, yeilded nil results.

The dealer did not issue any formal receipt towards the sum of Rs 7000/received and gave my rep a " TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN" ON THE LETTER HEAD OF THE DEALER for the amount of Rs 7000/- as increased price by Maruti Udyog.

In view of the facts submitted, MY REQUEST IS THAT MY GREIVANCE BE REDRESSED, as I feel cheated by the dealer in the guise of MSIL price increase and the excess amount charged be refunded to me.

I also request the suitable directions be issued to dealers not to harass customers on pretexts as Maruti Udyog is an esteemed organisation and customers trust should not be affected by such unscruplous dealers.

Maruti Udyog After Sales Service — Unreliable workmanship

Dear Sir,

This is regarding servicing of my car Registration no. MH-15BN 6231 Model:- Wagon-R Lxi

I had given my car for servicing to Seva automotive, Ambad, Nashik on 20 .02.2009, it was a paid servicing and work to be done was Glass noise, and general check up.

Work was satisfactorily completed so at the end of the day I got my car .

On 28.02.2209 I was cleaning my car and found spare tyre was punctured so I had taken my car to the garage for repairs, when the punctured tyre was taken out for repairs it was found that there was a very big cut on tyre, it seems that my good tyre was replaced with damaged tyre by your service station people.

We are giving our vehicles to Maruty service centre on this faith that we will get our original parts back as it is, this is ridiculous thing .

You are requested to help me out to get my good conditioned original tyre back.

Maruti Zen Estilo vxi car — Less bill of Car by the dealer

It is with great agony that I wish to bring to your kind notice again the callousness shown by your dealer / company about my above said complaint.I had purchased a car (Zen –Estillo vxi model, superior white colour) from your showroom (ms CM auto sales(P)ltd., Chandigarh road, Ropar) on dated 23.02.2009.I had deposited Rs 351889 /- with your dealer ( Rs. 10000/- as booking of car and bank draft for Rs.341889 /-).I had received bills from your dealer for Rs.338234/-( Car bill Rs. 326987 + Insurance Rs.10867/- + Temp. No. Rs.380/- = Rs338234/- ) and refund cheque for Rs.11895/-on dated 16.03.2009 (after 21 days) instead of Rs. 13655/- ( Rs.351889.00 – 338234.00 = Rs.13655.00 ) which is less Rs. 1760.00.

On 18.03.09, the executive /representative from CM auto sales (p)ltd had come to me and said that we had not given full amount car bill to any one, its our policy, and also said from this you saved registration fee from the Govt. Is it not a National loss ?

In spite of my repeated telephone calls, no concrete action has been taken yet to refund the amount. I can hardly believe that a International auto company like yours which is reputed for its honesty, efficiency and quality should be taking so much time in doing the needful .

First and the foremost very very thanks for providing such a nice and huge product portfolio to your all customers.

I am having Suzuki Wagon-R Duo (LPG model Lxi) the details are as follows,

I am constantly facing the problem of co driver seat’s recliner noise from the second service till today. I made so many complaints to your dealer M/s. Chowgule Industries Pvt. Ltd, Pune at their Katraj workshop, but it seems that nobody is interested in solving the complaint. Because I made the complaint to Mr. Dyanesh Mujumdar who is the Dy. Works Manager over there, then I made the complaint to Mr. Abhijit Atre also for the same who is the Sr. Works Manager at Katraj workshop in Pune.

Every time when I am complaining to the Service advisors then they are just applying the sprays to reduce the noise which is coming from recliner assembly of the co-driver seat. Many times they are just promising to me that they will procure the recliner assembly from the plant and every time I have to run to them for the noise.

So many times I asked them to just replace the same under warranty, and every time they are neglecting. Every time their answer is we are about to procure. And when I asked them that why they have not procured yet then their answer is that “the recliner assemblies are of different types” I don’t understand that is Maruti is supplying different recliner assemblies to their every Wagon-R model?

The dealer is just not able to find out the part number from the parts catalogue??

Is this a DEALER or a ROADSIDE GARAGE?????????

And if Maruti is having such kind of dealers into their network then probably they will loose the Sale in next couple of years.

What kind of customer satisfaction is this?????????? (Maruti is No.1 in CSI for so many years. Really doubtful on that)

You can check the record from the dealership about such complaint made by me so many times.


I think Chowgule’s are not at all interested in satisfying their customers either from Sales side or from Service side. Because in sales also I found lot of problems from the Chowgule team.

In above I have specifically mentioned two different dates 1) Invoice Date & 2) Possession date.

Because after invoicing I got my car after 6 days period. That too committed time for delivery was 7.30pm on 06.11.2007 but I got the delivery at 9.30pm on same that. To be very frank I was very lucky that at least I got the vehicle same day.
Mr. [censored]al Osani the Sales Manager was very arrogant at the time of delivery as he is the only person who is selling Maruti vehicle. The person was not at all ready to deliver the tax receipt at the time of delivery. I made the quarrels over there and finally I got the same along with the vehicle.

I don’t understand that with which attitude the dealership persons are offering the services to the customers????????

I am waiting for the action on this from Company side.

I am a resident of Kurnool town of Andhra Pradesh. I booked a Maruthi Zen Estilo, LXi on 23.03.09 with MSA motors, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. While booking the show room authorities told to me that, . the vehicle will be delivered with in a week. Today it is 14.4.09 the Maruthi authorities are failed to deliver vehicle. When ever i contacted them their response towards me is poor and irrigular. I have paid entire amount on the day of booking. This is customer care of Maruthi authorities in India. By this their credibility among the trusted Maruthi customers are losing. I think the Maruthi Suzuki is in bad shape. Bhushanam.M.N. Kurnool.
